This presentation is counted among others carried out in the Programa de Educación a Distancia, Universidad Virtual de Quilmes, from the Quilmes National University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Between 2009 and 2013, we carried out a combined quali-quantitative research that analyzed the relationship between virtual tutorials and the academic path followed by the students, working on the actors that conducted those tutorials (the tutors) and the population over which this tutorial action was inflicted (students). The same research team recently started a new project that investigates some aspects identified in the results of the first research, which recognized a variety of paths and ways for the students to follow, related to another point of interest: their subjective constructions. The title is “Academic levels of education, diversity, and inclusion. Relationships between academic paths and subjective constructions of virtual students and former students”. The main purpose is to identify, describe and increase the understanding of the problems the student has to face in virtual education. This will allow the proposal and planning of institutional actions that tend to improve and solve these difficulties.
