This paper presents the results of a qualitative research which was aimed to Geogebra assessment in order to determine educational implications related to the use of this type of educational resources in the teaching and learning of mathematics. The study inquired −based on perceptions of students and teacher− the weaknesses and strengths of these resource´s implications deducing in this way a meaningful learning. Three workshops were implemented to analyze the different types of functions with students of 11th grade at the French Colombo High School, Municipality of La Estrella (Antioquia, Colombia). On these workshops the subjects of our reflection focused on four aspects: common difficulties implementing the resource, strengths which could offer didactic reflections, describing interactions between students and teachers to strengthen the implementation of Geogebra and main requirements to improve interventions in the classroom.
