Peer leadership in the integration of ICT into teaching
Keywords:

The purpose of the study was to extend one of the probable causes that prevent Information and Communication Technology (ICT) be adopted by all teachers in the middle high education at the University of Guadalajara. In addition to this, we identified people who the teachers ask for help when they implement "or want to implement" these innovative tools in their classes. Data collection was carried out by survey application that allowed the identification of opinion leaders using the sociometric method. The results were based on the social network analysis of two public high schools. The results show that 'the leaders' are responsible for the computer area, the head of department of formal science and academic coordinator. In this sense we discussed the point, that the lack of implementation of these tools is being minimized to only the infrastructure and training. This leads to various causes, which are presented in the analysis. The study concludes by proposing recommendations for increasing the adoption innovations and thus to confront the use of ICT in the middle high education.References
