This paper shows the results of case study of the process of training teachers in using ICT in their teaching practice in the Engineering Faculty of Autonomous University of Querétaro. In the study, variables like the ability in the communication through electronic means and the dominion of Web 2.0 tools were considered. The Group Research and Development in Educational Technology started to train teachers, of different areas of knowledge, in the process of integrating ICT in their subjects. The research was to find the reasons by which a great numbers of teachers do not integrate web 2.0 tools in their courses. For this, the group considered two basic steps, awareness and technology training for teachers. As a result, advance has been significantly, since the teachers considered relevant to include ICT in educational practice to achieve meaningful learning. Thus, some teachers have gradually incorporated some of the web 2.0 tools such as the forum, wiki, etc. However, a minimum number of teachers use synchronous communication, which is mostly used by students.References
