Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have proven to be a versatile environment that offers multiple tools for implementing strategies and addressing diverse learning styles. Some studies indicate that when students are unaware of the potential of these tools to enhance their learning processes, their use tends to be limited. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate the use of cognitive strategies, within the four most widely recognized learning styles: visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic, as well as the application of ICT to these strategies. Methodologically, cross-sectional correlational design was employed, based on the results of a previous quasiexperimental research focused on the variables of learning styles and strategies with ICT. The findings reveal significant differences between the use of strategies with and without technology, with the latter being those that obtaided the highest score. They also show that, although the students participating in the study were familiar with various technological tools that could enrich their educational process, they did not always apply them. It is concluded that intentional and targeted ICT instruction can enhance their educational use and foster strategic learning. Strengthening student guidance and support toward approaches that promote the integration of technologies into learning processes is therefore recommendedReferences
