Este breve documento se ha elaborado con la intención de analizar la aparición de nuevos términos en el ámbito de la educación a distancia y otros campos relacionados para tratar de explicar cómo y por qué se produce este fenómeno y proponer algunos caminos confiables para usar los nuevos conceptos. La tarea se considera necesaria por la abundancia y constante aparición de términos y expresiones. El presente texto, más que tratar de establecer precisiones en la terminología, pretende definir algunas líneas de trabajo que pueden ser útiles a los interesados en la comprensión del fenómeno y en el cuidado con el uso de los conceptos.
