				<title>RESUMEN</title>
					directivos escolares.</p>

				<p>This study presents a systematic review of the use of learning analytics
						dashboards (LADs) in secondary education, focusing on their role in the
						early detection of academic problems. The research was carried out through
						the search, selection, and analysis of articles addressing the
						implementation of learning analytics systems in this educational level. The
						review was guided by two main research questions: how learning analytics
						dashboards can contribute to the timely identification of learning
						difficulties, and how the usability of these tools influences their adoption
						and effectiveness in school settings. The findings indicate that, despite
						notable progress, there are still limitations in terms of accessibility,
						empirical validation, and adaptation to the specific context of secondary
						education. Additionally, it was identified that systems designed with
						user-centered approaches and active teacher participation foster greater
						pedagogical appropriation and usefulness. In conclusion, the study
						highlights the importance of designing learning analytics tools that
						integrate technological, pedagogical, and ethical dimensions, ensuring their
						practical value for teachers and school administrators.</p>

			<title>INTRODUCCIÓN</title>
				facilitando intervenciones oportunas (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B20">Nguyen
					ref-type="bibr" rid="B13">Khulbe &amp; Tammets, 2023</xref>).</p>

				enfocados en la detección temprana de problemas académicos. La búsqueda se realizó
				principalmente en la base de datos Scopus, empleando palabras clave específicas y
				filtros temáticos. Los artículos seleccionados fueron evaluados según su calidad,

				<title>Estrategia de extracción de datos</title>
				<sec>
					<title>a) Datos de los estudios primarios</title>
					<p>Para organizar la literatura, se utilizaron Scopus y Zotero. Scopus facilitó
						la identificación de artículos conforme a los criterios establecidos,
						mientras que Zotero permitió importar las citas en formato BibTeX y
						gestionar los metadatos. Estos se exportaron a una hoja de cálculo con
						información clave: tipo de publicación, año, autores, título, fuente, DOI,
						resumen y palabras clave. Esta organización estructurada permitió un
						seguimiento eficiente durante el análisis.</p>
					<p>Adicionalmente, se integraron estudios identificados mediante revisión
						cruzada en las bases de datos de la conferencia LAK, enfocados en el diseño
						centrado en el usuario, ética y co-diseño con docentes (Ferguson et
							al., 2021; <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B19">Nazaretsky
								et al., 2022</xref>; <xref ref-type="bibr"
							rid="B24">Riordan <italic>et al</italic>., 2024</xref>; <xref
							ref-type="bibr" rid="B17">Mohseni et al.,
						2024</xref>).</p>
				</sec>
				<sec>
					<title>b) Proceso de extracción de datos</title>
					<p>De cada artículo se extrajeron datos como fecha de revisión, autores,
						metodología, nivel educativo, técnicas utilizadas, soluciones propuestas y
						vinculación con las preguntas de investigación. El autor principal realizó
						la codificación inicial y un segundo revisor validó una muestra aleatoria
						para garantizar la fiabilidad del proceso. La incorporación de artículos
						recientes enriqueció las categorías analizadas y favoreció la comparación
						entre enfoques.</p>
				</sec>
				<sec>
					<title>c) Almacenamiento de datos</title>
					<p>Los metadatos y resultados del análisis se almacenaron mediante Zotero y se
						respaldaron en un repositorio privado de Google Drive, con controles básicos
						de acceso. Se emplearon plantillas estructuradas en Excel para sistematizar
						la información y facilitar su análisis temático y bibliométrico.</p>
				</sec>
			</sec>
			<sec>
				<title>Síntesis de datos</title>
				<p>La síntesis se fundamentó en dos marcos metodológicos: la Perspectiva 1 (<xref
						ref-type="bibr" rid="B27">Urrea-Contreras et al.,
						2021</xref>), basada en diez criterios de calidad (ver <xref
						ref-type="table" rid="t8">tabla 8</xref>); y la Perspectiva 2 (<xref
						ref-type="bibr" rid="B26">Ullah et al., 2018</xref>),
					orientada a la alineación con las preguntas de investigación. La integración de
					estudios recientes permitió reforzar aspectos como ética, co-diseño y
					aplicabilidad contextual en secundaria.</p>

			<title>DISCUSIÓN</title>
			<p>El análisis bibliométrico muestra un crecimiento sostenido en publicaciones sobre
				analítica de aprendizaje desde 2020, impulsado por tecnologías emergentes como la
				inteligencia artificial. No obstante, su aplicación en secundaria sigue siendo
				limitada, lo que evidencia una brecha en la literatura. El predominio de artículos
				en conferencias (86 publicaciones) confirma que las innovaciones en el campo se
				difunden inicialmente en estos foros, consolidándose luego en revistas como el
					British Journal of Educational Technology o eventos como LAK y
				ACM ICER, que se han convertido en núcleos de referencia para el avance del
				área.</p>
			<p>El análisis temático mostró que, aunque conceptos como students y
					secondary education han ganado presencia, siguen siendo
				secundarios frente a enfoques centrados en higher education y
					predictive analytics. Esto subraya la urgencia de producir
				conocimiento empírico más aplicable al nivel básico, con atención a los desafíos
				propios del entorno escolar.</p>
			<p>Los hallazgos de esta revisión sugieren que, si bien existen propuestas de valor, su
				generalización en secundaria es limitada. Tal como advierten <xref ref-type="bibr"
					rid="B1">Ahn <italic>et al</italic>. (2021</xref>) y Ferguson <italic>et
					al. (2021), la adopción de sistemas de LA en K-12 depende de factores
				como la privacidad, la transparencia y el co-diseño con docentes. En esta línea,
				estudios como los de <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B19">Nazaretsky et
						al. (2022</xref>) y <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B24">Riordan
						et al. (2024</xref>) ofrecen marcos y metodologías que
				permiten diseñar soluciones adaptadas, confiables y pedagógicamente
				significativas.</p>
			<p>
				<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B11">Khalil et al. (2022</xref>)
				destacan la falta de marcos éticos robustos, mientras que <xref ref-type="bibr"
					rid="B17">Mohseni <italic>et al</italic>. (2024</xref>) identifican limitaciones
				en la validación de herramientas visuales para secundaria. Por su parte, Brooker y
				Fernandez exploran narrativas visuales como estrategias para superar la barrera
				interpretativa de dashboards complejos. Estas aproximaciones
				coinciden en que la efectividad de las herramientas depende de su contextualización,
				explicabilidad y facilidad de uso.</p>
			<p>Metodológicamente, esta revisión se apoyó en los marcos de <xref ref-type="bibr"
					rid="B27">Urrea-Contreras <italic>et al</italic>. (2021</xref>) y <xref
					ref-type="bibr" rid="B26">Ullah et al. (2018)</xref>. La
				Perspectiva 1 permitió evaluar la calidad formal de los estudios, mientras que la
				Perspectiva 2 facilitó el análisis de su pertinencia temática. Se identificó que
				muchos artículos cumplen parcialmente con las preguntas de investigación, siendo
				escasos los que abordan de manera integral los retos específicos de la educación
				secundaria.</p>
			<p>La inclusión de estudios recientes (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">Ahn et
						al., 2021</xref>; <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B19">Nazaretsky
						et al., 2022</xref>; <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B24"
					>Riordan et al., 2024</xref>) aportó evidencia actualizada y
				fundamentación conceptual para enriquecer la revisión. Como muestra la <xref
					ref-type="table" rid="t13">tabla 13</xref>, estos trabajos permiten identificar
				enfoques viables para mejorar la detección de problemas de aprendizaje y facilitar
				el uso de sistemas por parte de docentes de secundaria.</p>

			<p>En conjunto, la discusión evidencia que, si bien el campo está en expansión, aún se

			<title>CONCLUSIONES</title>
			<p>Este estudio confirma el creciente interés de la comunidad académica en la analítica
				de aprendizaje desde 2020, particularmente en el uso de tecnologías como la
				inteligencia artificial para mejorar la personalización del aprendizaje y la toma de
				decisiones pedagógicas. Sin embargo, la mayoría de los desarrollos se enfocan en
				educación superior, evidenciando una brecha en su aplicación a la educación
				secundaria.</p>
			<p>Respecto a la primera pregunta de investigación (RQ1), los resultados indican que los
				sistemas de LA tienen potencial para apoyar la detección temprana de problemas
				académicos, aunque su adopción en secundaria aún es limitada. En relación con la
				RQ2, se valora la facilidad de uso como un factor clave para la apropiación docente,
				pero persiste la necesidad de estudios empíricos en contextos escolares reales.</p>
			<p>La incorporación de literatura reciente (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">Ahn
						et al., 2021</xref>; <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B19"
					>Nazaretsky et al., 2022</xref>; <xref ref-type="bibr"
					rid="B24">Riordan <italic>et al</italic>., 2024</xref>) permitió fortalecer el
				marco teórico y señalar tendencias emergentes como el co-diseño, el diseño centrado
				en el docente y las estrategias de visualización narrativa (<xref ref-type="bibr"
					rid="B7">Fernandez <italic>et al</italic>., 2022</xref>). Estas líneas sugieren
				que el diseño ético y contextualizado de dashboards es esencial
				para garantizar su utilidad pedagógica.</p>
			<p>Se recomienda que futuras investigaciones desarrollen y validen herramientas
				específicas para secundaria, integrando principios de explicabilidad, ética y
				participación docente, con énfasis en la evaluación de impacto en el aula. De esta
				manera, será posible avanzar hacia soluciones sostenibles y significativas para la
				mejora del aprendizaje en este nivel educativo.</p>
